The Civil Partnership Wedding FayreIt’s time to celebrate!

The law allowing same sex couples to have Civil Partnerships Ceremonies comes into effect on 5th December 2005. Taking this into account Young Hotels Bournemouth is to hold Bournemouth and the South West’s first wedding fayre aimed at same sex couples.

The Tralee Hotel on Bournemouth’s West Cliff will hold The Civil Partnership Wedding Fayre on Sunday 20th November. There will be over 40 stands aiming to showcase the various wedding providers in the area. Leading them, Bournemouth Registry Office will be in attendance offering help and guidance on the new law. They will also have their diary available so that civil partnership ceremonies can be booked on the day.

In support of them there will be a wide selection of exhibitors catering for all requirements and needs, from a quiet private ceremony to the most flamboyant wedding. The usual catwalk shows have been replaced with live acts on the stage throughout the day, but there will still be the opportunity to look at different outfitters as well as venues, florists, stationers, cake makers, photographers, car suppliers and all the various providers which help to make a wedding complete. Many of the exhibitors have worked for gay couples with the old style commitment ceremonies so have the special knowledge of this market to ensure a perfect day.

With demand expected to be high for civil partnership ceremonies in the first year of them becoming possible in this country, 60% of stands were booked within the first 48 hours of them becoming available.

This will be a wonderful and exciting day to celebrate perhaps the greatest step forward in equality and diversity since Suffragettes got the vote!
